While we take the utmost care when handling vintage garments and have extensive experience working with delicate pieces, we cannot guarantee the safety of vintage items due to their age and often fragile condition. Vintage fabrics and construction may be compromised by time, making them particularly vulnerable during the pattern-making process. We recommend photographing the garment extensively and taking detailed measurements before bringing it to us, and understanding that there’s always some risk involved. If the piece is extremely valuable or irreplaceable, we suggest working from detailed photographs and measurements rather than handling the original garment directly.
